Meet The Staff
Ruben A. Amavisca
Winter Guard Director
Ruben is a long time member of the pageantry world. He has designed for many schools and independent groups throughout California.
Programs taught: Corcoran High School, Hanford High School, Modesto High School, Hanford West High School, Ventura Independent Winter Guard, Tulare Union High School, Valley Independent Percussion, among others. Mr. Amavisca is also the Treasurer and a founding member of the South Valley Winter Arts Association (SVWAA Circuit) and is an Adjudicator with the CCGC (California Color Guard Circuit) in San Jose, PPAACC (Pep and Pageantry Arts Association of Central California) in Bakersfield and the South West Judges Network in Partnership with CSBC.

Katy Caruthers
Katy marched under the tutelage of Ruben Amavisca at Hanford West High School. She continued her guard life at Sac State and InMotion Performance . During her stay with InMotion, they advanced from Nat A to open and then to World. Katy also taught at Folsom HS and Choreographed for Sac State.
Katy now lives in Lemoore and works in Tulare for their City Schools.

Arriyanna Hernandez
Arreyanna Hernandez is a Clovis East Graduate. After graduating from Clovis East High School, Arriyanna marched with Frente Winter Guard out of Fresno California.
She is currently the Captionhead for the Hanford West Marching Band and Colorguard out of Hanford, CA.

Jessica Dutra
Jessica Dutra is a Lemoore High School Graduate. After graduating from Lemoore High School, Jessica marched with Frente Winter Guard out of Fresno California.
She is currently a choreographer for the Hanford West Marching Band and Colorguard out of Hanford, CA.

Jeremy Garrett
Jeremy comes to us from Northern California and is a current member of InMotion Performance Ensemble, a World Winter Guard from Fairfield, CA. Jeremy has been an active member and instructor for InMotion Performance Ensemble. Jeremy has spun with Fairfield High School Winter Guard 02’ 04’, Blue Devils A Corps 04’-07’, San Jose Raiders 07’, and In Motion. His favorite show is “Road to Perdition” by The Northern Lights 2004. Jeremy was actually a part of drumline for 3 years! “If u stay ready, then u don’t have to get ready!”
Jeremy is currently a cast member for Fantasia Winterguard from San Bernardino, CA

Rehearsal and Performance Schedule
Rehearsals will be held on Sundays beginning October 1, 2025, from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.
December 1 - the end of the season, rehearsals will be 9:00 am - 8:00 pm.
Rehearsal will be located at Hanford West High School.
A couple of full weekend camps will be scheduled once the show and cast have been solidified. Those will be announced once they are scheduled.
Fees and Sponsorship
Guard Fee Payments - Guard fees will be announced at Auditions. Along with paying for show registration your fees will be going towards Uniform Rental, Transportation costs for WGI Shows, and other administrative fees that we incur (Facility Rental, etc)
Sponsorship letters will be available for those wanting to get sponsorships for your season fees.
We would also like to have you, the members, contact businesses and organizations around the valley to get sponsors for equipment and other of expenses to run El Ritmo.
