Meet The Team

Ruben A. Amavisca

Winter Guard Director

Ruben is a long time member of the pageantry world. He has designed for many schools and independent groups throughout California.

Programs taught: Corcoran High School, Hanford High School, Modesto High School, Hanford West High School, Ventura Independent Winter Guard, Tulare Union High School, Valley Independent Percussion, among others. Mr. Amavisca is also the Treasurer and a founding member of the South Valley Winter Arts Association (SVWAA Circuit) and is an Adjudicator with the CCGC (California Color Guard Circuit) in San Jose, PPAACC (Pep and Pageantry Arts Association of Central California) in Bakersfield and the South West Judges Network in Partnership with CSBC.

Staff

Katy Caruthers

Katy marched under the tutelage of Ruben Amavisca at Hanford West High School. She continued her guard life at Sac State and InMotion Performance . During her stay with InMotion, they advanced from Nat A to open and then to World. Katy also taught at Folsom HS and Choreographed for Sac State.

Katy now lives in Lemoore and works in Tulare for their City Schools.

Izzy Miranda

Izzy is a product of Tulare Union High School and is now living in Lemoore, CA. Izzy worked with me at Tulare Union for a number of years and took over the program after I left.

Izzi performed with Ethos Winter Guard Open.

Choreographer

Andy Montejano

Andy marched under Mr. Amavisca's tutelage at Exeter High School. After graduating from Exter High, Andy performed with Frente, Unity and with the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps.

Andy taught at Exeter HS, Wilson Middle School, in Exeter, Mission Oak HS in Tulare, Farmersville High School and is the current Guard Director at Redwood High School in Visalia, CA.

Rehearsal and Performance Schedule

Rehearsals will be held on Sundays beginning October 13, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm.

Rehearsal Locations will be announced once we have secured them.

We are looking at: COS-Visalia, Hanford West-Hanford, Exeter High School, Exeter, CA.

We are looking at using all 3 on a rotating basis.

A couple of full weekend camps will be scheduled once the show and cast have been solidified.

Fees and Sponsorship

Guard Fee Payments - Guard fees will be announced at Auditions. Along with paying for show registration your fees will be going towards Uniform Rental, Transportation costs for WGI Shows, and other administrative fees that we incur (Facility Rental, etc)

Sponsorship letters will be available for those wanting to get sponsorships for your season fees.

We would also like to have you, the members, contact businesses and organizations around the valley to get sponsors for equipment and other of expenses to run El Ritmo.
